PROFILE

Sound academic training is only the first step towards a successful career as a translator and interpreter. In addition to the experience gained along the way, continuous training is essential to maintain the high standards of our profession. As part of my commitment to the highest professional standards, I regularly attend seminars, training courses and workshops.



 

Academic training and professional experience

  • Advanced School of Modern Languages for Interpreters and Translators, Forlì (University of Bologna), Institute of Translation and Interpreting, Heidelberg (Germany)
    Master’s degree in translation and conference interpreting (2002)
  • Interpreting practice in the dummy booth during a Plenary Session of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe, Strasbourg
  • Staff translator and interpreter for different German Federal Agencies in the fields of Defence and Justice
  • Experience as a project manager (interpreting services) and as a buyer in the purchasing department of an IT company

  • German Federal Association of Interpreters and Translators (BDÜ)
  • German Association of Conference Interpreters (VKD)
